Coming Soon! FACE is based on the venerable and highly prized FuzzFace of the mid to late 60’s. Possibly the most classic and well known fuzz, and for good reason. Fat blooming tones with a warm attack, singing sustain and beautiful sparkling cleanup. Classic controls for FUZZ and VOLUME. Internal controls for INPUT gain and BIAS give you a couple extra options to dial it in for your setup. INPUT trim will reduce the signal hitting the fuzz, tightening up the low strings and cleaning up the fuzz overall. All the way down is “stock”, all the way up is almost cleaned up to an overdrive tone. BIAS will sweep between blasted blown out nasty fuzz, to a smoother “properly biased” sound, to thick and gated and everywhere in between. Ships with the “optimal” Bias pre set but you’re welcome to experiment! FACE is also tuned louder to push volume well above unity gain.
Meticulously built on wide pitch Vero stripboard. NOS Germanium transistors, NOS capacitors and carbon film resistors. 1590BB size enclosure in Silver or Black powdercoat with custom OG style printed graphics.
Options for transistors for “Builders Choice” using more affordable and readily available transistors, or “British Upgrade” for NKT, Mullard, Brimar, Texas Instruments etc transistors. If you’re looking for something specific send me an email!
