FACE NKT "VOODOO" MOD

This small batch of 5 FACE pedals uses a matched pair of NOS NKT CV7007 medium gain Germanium transistors loaded into my new Lineage Series custom folded metal enclosures with replica Fuzz Face style knobs, made a little extra VOODOO... 
 
 
Voodoo mod! This mod places the internal bias control on the outside and extends the range for tons of variations on the fuzz face, from wide open and smooth, spitty and exploding, to fully gated and sticky textures. Open settings have a beautiful sparkling cleanup that remains dynamic and can get driven and gritty when you dig in. "Correct" bias settings can depend on ambient temperature, but typically are between 11-1 oclock on the Bias knob, you'll hear it as its turned from all the way down when it's right, it will start to warm up and smooth out the texture. No wrong settings here though, make it as nasty and gnarly or smooth and singing as you wish!
 
Other mods include boosting the output volume so it's easy to get well above unity, and an internal trimmer to reduce signal going into the fuzz. The input trimmer helps control the low end in some setups, and can help it clean up even easier, getting into fuzzy germanium drive tones at the highest settings. Otherwise what you'll get is a classic 60's germanium fuzz face tone in a small format, using the original schematic and layout as inspiration, with the classic FUZZ and VOLUME controls just where you'd expect. Like the rest of the Lineage Series, FACE is true bypass with an LED indicator, and uses a center negative power jack, or can be powered by a 9v battery.
